We have a good working with the B & D.M.R.C, and support them at a number of there exhibitions although not model engineers, they are still chuffer nutters.
Specialize in the production of copper boilers, for live steam locomotives, and traction engines. We are very lucky to have Weston Steam but a stones through from us in Burnhamon-Sea.
Geoff Stait is very knowledgeable about the model engineering business and they carry an ever expanding range of goodies including laser cut frames and castings for loco kits. Their latest catalogue can be downloaded as a PDF file from the website.
Polly models make kits which enable anyone to build a working 5 inch gauge steam locomotive. Two of our members have examples of these engines. Polly also have a wide range of castings and parts for all manner of Model Engineering projects. Proprietors Andy and Jayne Clarke are very friendly and helpful
Blackgates are well known suppliers of castings etc. They specialise in the "Sweet Pea" locomotive and example of which is on the home page.
Reeves are another well known firm in Model Engineering circles with a vast range of materials and castings.
Graham Powell a member of our society also builds and runs superb o gauge models. his website is testament to his skill as a model builder.
Phoenix do a very fine range of battery powered diesel locomotives including the class 42 Warship so familiar to us in the West Country.
